Joe IV and the entire Funeral Home staff were very professional and kind when we set up our service for Dominick Mattioni (husband/father) in May, 2025.
Joe IV was there for us again in September, 2025 for the arrangements needed for Michael Mattioni (son/brother). They are very attentive to the needs of the family and relatives at such a difficult time.
The team at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home is phenomenal and supported our family throughout the entire process.
From the moment we first reached out, they were incredibly helpful, compassionate, and professional. Every person we spoke to was knowledgeable and patient, always ready to answer our questions and offer guidance, no matter when we called.
During one of the hardest times in our lives, they handled everything — from logistics to finances to emotional support — with compassion and expertise.
Their kindness made us feel safe, supported, and truly cared for. They had our backs through it all, and we never felt alone.
We have nothing but wonderful things to say! They treated us like family, and we will always remember the way they took care of us during such a painful time.
I highly recommend DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home. I lost a parent and was not prepared and didn't know what to expect. The staff welcomed me and my siblings with open arms and helped us every step of the way. It was a smooth process from start to finish. We never felt pressured, they allowed us all the time we needed to make decisions. They are very caring and treat you and your loved ones like family. They even followed up with us a few weeks later, as we were still grieving, to see if there was anything they could do for us. They truly care!
Respect and dignity describes DellaVecchia Funeral Home. Family run business. You can tell they care about each and every client that needs their services for their final planning.
We can't thank Cheri and Joe at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd enough for how helpful, responsive, and kind they've been with handling the arrangements for our Mom. The level of personal service they offer and their professionalism is so appreciated during what is a most difficult time for any family.
I can highly recommend DellaVecchia Funeral Home as they helped our family with my parents and my in laws. All funerals were well planned and seamlessly executed. One even did a prearrangement which made things even easier. The staff is compassionate, responsive, efficient, and organized. During these periods of loss it was very nice to be able to plan and carry out a celebration of life.
Our family has used the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd FH for our family members. They have always been so kind, helpful and supportive. They have made a very hard time much more bearable for us.
The sudden passing of a friend, and father to my sons friends, left a lot of concern over what the viewing and services would be like to attend. The viewing was handled with the true feeling of family, where all were put more at ease, making it a special opportunity to share memories. The next day's service was orchestrated with the ultimate in professionalism, so critical to allow all attending to be fully in the moment. Thank you for the exceptional work.
Our family was exceptionally grateful and pleased with the services provided by DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd. The entire DellaVecchia team was extremely responsive and attentive to our needs and they delivered services with exceptional professionalism, care and compassion for our family. In working with Joe DellaVecchia, it felt like we were working with family. Thank you for supporting us through a difficult time.
I could not be more pleased by the care given to my family and husband George Campbell at his time of passing. I wish to express my thanks to the DellaVecchia family and the staff for their compassion and amazing service.
Services were very nice for my dad. When making the arrangements they were very compassionate and made the process easy
Joe the 4 th and his father were very nice . They did a great job for my father's services . Would recommend them .
Our family could not be more pleased with the services provided by DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home, Inc. Very kind, compassionate, and easy to work with. They assisted us with planning for both my Mother and Father. They have beautiful accommodations that are warm and welcoming, for a difficult time you are presented with in life.
The customer service and attention was wonderful from start to finish. The planning and execution of every detail was done to perfection. The home itself is beautiful and was able to accommodate a large turnout. They were very transparent about every financial detail and there were no surprises. My experience with them could not have been better. Thank you to the folks at DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd.
I was very satisfied with their professional service! Their etiquette and compassion was deeply appreciated. It was close to my home and cemetery. I would use this Funeral Director again in the future. Thank you for everything.
My family will forever be indebted to the DellaVecchias (Ron, Joe the 3rd and Joe the 4th) for taking such great care of us when my Dad and Mom passed away. We first met with Joe the 3rd a few years prior to do some pre-planning (one of the best decisions we ever made) and he immediately won my Mom's trust (not the easiest). Then when my Dad passed away, they made the process as easy as possible, all the time prioritizing showing such great care for my Mom in her time of grief. About a year later, when my Mom passed away, it was a similar experience where the DellaVecchias took care of every detail seemlessly from the time of my Mom's passing through the end of the funeral Mass. I can't thank the family enough and I would highly recommend DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home for all that are dealing with the loss of a loved one.
I am especially delighted to share this review with everyone as the personal care and sincerity by everyone a the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home was so endearing and professional. They handled everything including the flowers, cemetery, grave marker and payments for everything from a prepaid life/funeral insurance policy which made my life easier to grieve with my family for our lost loved one. I would highly recommend them for taking care of your loved ones.
The entire team at DellaVecchia,Reilly,Smith & Boyd were professional, caring, thorough, and knowledgeable. They took care of every detail. They were flexible with last minute and unusual requests. We are so grateful to all there. The Family of Gordon W. Smith
Very impressed with the patience, caring, and professionalism demonstrated through the entire process. They made a tough time much easier to cope with.
My husband Ray passed in September 2021. I wish to express my sincere appreciation to Joe DellaVecchia and the entire staff for their caring and professional service during this extremely difficult time. I am truly blessed to have had their support and guidance.
They were very easy to work with when it came to what we needed to prepare our Mother for her burial. They were not pushy, In fact, Ron was very accommodating, as what was originally planned needed to be altered. They were very sympathetic and helpful in explaining exactly what they had to do. I think they are a wonderful place to have your loved ones taken care of, when that time comes. Never easy when you lose your loved ones but they definitely made us feel more relaxed going over everything.
You will not find a more pleasant, caring, or professional funeral home staff!
Caring, compassionate, thorough, and attention to detail! The home is so well-maintained and just beautiful. Everyone involved in the planning and execution of the services was truly exceptional. Thank you for making the absolute best of a funeral service.
We recently had them take care of my brother . Everything was done - professional, dignified, , great care. Very well done .
The McGovern family expresses its deep appreciation to the Dellavecchia Funeral for the care it provided during the planning and carrying out of our parents' Memorial Service. Every touch, setting up the memento tables(and packing them up), greeting family and guests with umbrellas on dreary day, playing the music during the service, was handled wonderfully. Heartfelt thanks to Michael Dellavecchia for the arrangements and to Ron Dellavecchia who was therefor the day!
Joe DellaVecchia did an outstanding job taking care of my husband who died unexpectedly while we were on a winter vacation in Florida. He was a great listener, and attended to every detail of my husband's return to Pennsylvania, his preparation for burial, the Covid best practices and arrangements at the church, the cemetery, and more, so that my children and I could focus on each other and our extended family and friends who were grieving with us. It was a terrible time for us as a family, but Joe helped us make it a beautiful celebration of life, and for that I will be forever grateful.
Mr. Joseph DellaVecchia, Family, and Staff.
On December 30, 2019, my wife Joanne P. Judge-Morris passed away and her family, my wife and my Children’s mother miss her every day. We needed a Funeral Home that would assist us in our grief and help us memorialize our love one. The DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home under the direction of Mr. Joseph DellaVecchia assisted us with our grief and immediate needs. We were sincerely appreciative with the professional service, care, and pride they provided us with our funeral arrangements to send my wife to our Heavenly Father. Every month since my wife passing, we received letters and cards of condolences from the funeral home. This made us feel like we were part of a family.
I hate being long winded, but I needed to express my sincere appreciation for Mr. Joseph DellaVecchia and his Staff for making my family grief a little easier even though it still seems fresh in our minds. On the first anniversary 12/31/2019, we received a wonderful message and on the anniversary of her birthday 1/6/20221, we received a second message. This showed us the care, comfort, and thoughtfulness from the DellaVecchia, Reilly, Smith & Boyd Funeral Home under the direction of Mr. Joseph DellaVecchia.
My Family and I appreciate you and your staff and hope others realize how thoughtful and caring you are. I believe and will testify that you care more about service than the cost and that is why I have chosen you when our Heavenly Father decide to have me meet my wife again.
I am late writing this testimony because it took this long for my grief and to understand my lovely wife will not be physically here with her family but spiritually, she will always be with us.
Respectfully and with Sincere Appreciation,
The Morris-Judge Family
We entrusted our Mother into DellaVecchia's care in 2011 & there was never a question that they would take care of our Father as well.
Words fail to express the magnitude of professionalism, respect, & comprehensive attention to our family's needs during the loss of our Father.
The entire staff at DellaVecchia's F. H. represents the family business with pride & comforting care to all relatives with whom they have contact. Tim & Walt were the first employees my brother and I met when they came to my house to receive our Father. These two men could not have been more respectful. They permitted my brother & me to stay with our Father as they courteously prepared Daddy for his journey to their facility.
Ron was our Funeral Director. He took many burdens off our shoulders with grace & ease. His professionalism is presented with a familiar aire. We truly were made to feel like family. I must mention how invaluable Cheri's input re: Daddy's obituary was, it will continue to be an immeasurable asset to future families in distress.
In spite of the pandemic, we were amazed that Ron was able to arrange to have the Honor Guard & live bugler at Daddy's service. I must comment that the bugler's pitch control was perfect! Her emboucher was spot on!
We are from a family with many former members of the armed services, & therefore realize the monumental task it was to accomplish this in a short period of time. To have a live bugler play "Taps" was a special honor. Usually, families are afforded a recording of the powerful last bugle call to remember those who gave their lives in the service of the United States. The presentation of the flag was another special honor to our Father that my brother was proud to accept.
With the help of Daddy's brothers in the Masonic Lodge, Ron was able to incorporate their ceremony into the memorial service for our Father, a 32nd degree Mason.
As you read this, you may be thinking the above is as it should be, that it is expected because this is their business. That is, not at all, the way this experience felt. When you are in the throws of grief, you need to be surrounded by those who support you emotionally, physically, & spiritually. You need to be able to trust those around you. The DellaVecchia family mastered this with a loving aura.
With many thanks & God's blessings,
Beverly S. Transue & D. Lonn Spence
Patient, helpful, attentive. The directors at DellaVecchia are all so kind and efficient.
My husband Richard Hill and I have known the DellaVecchia family since they began their funeral home business in 1977. When Rich passed away in May 2020, I experienced their caring, professional concern in a personal manner. Pre-planning everything 5 years ago made all the difference in the world to me at a time when my world turned upside down. Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for all that was done and the wonderful graveside service they provided for Rich. My thanks to Kristine DellaVecchia for her tireless efforts to arrange for the military honors given to my Marine, who served the country he loved.
Always like every staff member when my brother passed away 2 yrs ago Jesus Geigel everyone was there for the support. Love everyone always have you guys in my heart.
We were lost souls as we entered the premises, and our need for assistance to walk us through countless decisions was colossal. The support that we received from every single person was exemplary throughout. Our questions were listened to attentively, then readily and satisfactorily answered. As we spoke with each individual at various times, for different reasons, the manner in which they focused on us in the moment was vastly calming. Sincere caring, respect and support were always, always evident. The Celebration of our precious one's life was handled just perfectly, with numerous friends commenting that they had never seen such a beautiful observance. Thank you and God bless you one and all, from the Medley family.
My husband, Frank, passed away 5 years ago. DellaVecchia handled his interment. At the time I did not think to thank you. Looking back I want you to know how much your care and direction helped me. Even sending me the monthly news letter for 2 years. I read it cover to cover. Again thank you for your caring and heartfelt sympathy for me.
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
