Obituary

Louise Wills Highberger, age 89, proud lifelong resident of West Chester, passed away on February 14, 2026 at The Hickman Friends Senior Community. She was the widow of John Moore Highberger. They were married for 52 years.

Born in Norristown, PA, she was the daughter of Ellwood and Virginia Ruth. She graduated from West Chester Joint High School and Drexel University. Her greatest joy in life was taking care of her three children and family home.

She was a member of the Church of the Holy Trinity, West Chester. She enjoyed many years volunteering at the Chester County Hospital. Some of her favorite things to do were meeting friends for lunch, shopping, taking care of her beloved husband, and always being there for her children and grandchildren. Classical music always brought her peace.

She is survived by her three daughters, Ellen Hicks (Glen Hicks), Susan Blei (Robert Blei), and Jane Bergan, 8 grandchildren, and 9 great grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Saturday, February 28, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 2:45 pm at Church of the Holy Trinity 212 S. High St. West Chester, PA 19382, followed by her Funeral Service at 3:00 pm 

Donations in her memory can be made to The Hickman and or the Brandywine Valley SPCA.

Interment will be private.
